can u identify this creature on this rubber ball?

I come across from Boing­Bo­ing with another one mys­tery on Earth. As I just showed the pic on above, I have no idea what kind of ani­mal (or mon­ster?!) is this. So keep your guess on mind and try to think what it is look like. Prob­a­bly it could be some sort of a trea­sure map or the Cloverfield?!

I can’t iden­tify the ani­mal(?) depicted on this lit­tle rub­ber ball that my five-year-was play­ing with last night. Any guesses? (Rotated ver­sions added above to assist in iden­ti­fi­ca­tion. I don’t think it is depict­ing the out­line of China.)
