The Review — Just Cause 2 review

Since I haven’t review anything for a long time and this blog is kinda mess. I decided to make a review of something which happen to be this gem. Just Cause 2 for PC. To be honest, I didn’t know much about the game. I thought it’s gonna some mediocre game kind of thing. But I get this game anyway. Enough with chitchat let’s do this.

There will be 3 sections for this review.

  1. Story
  2. Audio
  3. Graphics
  4. Gameplay

Story:

You’re playing a role of the guy name Rico Rodriguez, a former American agency. Rico is assigned to travel to the fictional island of Panau in Southeast Asia to find his beloved friend, Tom Sheldon who went missing. And it’s up to Rico to find out where he is.

Sounds like a top-seller romantic novel with explosion added.

Audio:

This game has audio, so no worry. The music keeps you entertaining and really blend with the mission you’re working on. Only that the voice in the cutscenes aren’t sync. Which is not listed as a feature on the box. Bad…

Graphics:

This one of the most important element of every game. And this game doesn’t fail to deliver it. The graphics in this game is great and push my system to the limit. Also the environment including the island itself and the explosions are absolutely amazing. Take a look…

See?

Gameplay:

The game is third-person shooting and the game kinda help you with the aiming. Good but the close combat is liquid shit, so sneaking up and attack from behind is not a very best thing to do.

Just Cause 2 offered the grappling hook which allow you to climb the building like gecko. And also can be used to tether two objects together. These objects can be living enemies, or you can attach a car to a helicopter and fly it around. Furthermore, Rico’s stunt parachute is infinite so you can jump from high place and float in mid-air.

The game allows you to hijack vehicles (including an airplane) and many areas on the island to explore. So you can rest assure that this game won’t bored you after beaten it.

The Verdict:

It is time to give this pure gem a score, which I have done that before. But I hate editing so I’m gonna put the score down below.

Story: Too generic. Some romantic novel could have beaten this. 3/5
Audio: Great. This has sound, which tells me this game deserve… 1+5−3÷5
Graphics: This game has good graphic and pass N64 era. So… 4.5÷5
Gameplay: Cool. Need to fix certain things but overall… 4/5

Final Score: 4/5 — Not an average…

This conclude the wonderful review…
